For my dad

So, this is a really personal piece, for which it was emotionally very hard to come up with a good enough design. There is symbolism, but I'm not going to blog about it. Actually, I might end up deleting this whole post, because it almost doesn't seem right putting this on the internet at all. But anyway, I made this in memory of my dad. It hangs from the rear view mirror of the family car.

For my mom

Another pendant.

Side-ish view.

Back view.

Front view. Brass, copper, nickel.

No, it's not a seahorse...

But everyone thinks it is.

I was going more for a freedom vs. caged idea...but whatever. Yay for seahorses.
Brass, the rivet is silver.

Metal Arts Fall '10 (part 3)

Just some wire. Copper, and brass.

Just more wire. It's a ring. Copper.

Another post-scrapped piece. Copper.

Melted, hammered, drilled- copper and brass.

My rock. Copper, brass.

Chain necklace (obviously). Sloppy soldering. But it was fun. Copper.

Metal arts Fall '10 (part 2)

I love me some scrap metals.

These are too heavy to wear...

Another hydraulic pressed bead, fold formed.

I LOVE THIS COLOR. And the best part is I don't ever know how to get it on purpose.

Just a wrap-around bracelet thing. Copper and nickel.

Metal Arts Fall '10

This is a three-layered pendant, and not very good photos of it. The inside layer you can see best in the second photo. I'll try to take better photos and add them later. Copper, copper, more copper, and nickel.

This is...yeah, it's a ring. Silver and copper. I love this thing.

Hydraulic pressed bead, cold connected by tabs...the leaf was a textured piece I found in the scrap bin, that I formed, drilled, and hung with wire.

Oh hey, it's a tiger.

I got lucky with this one. I don't normally claim that I can draw.

First post...

What to say, what to say...?
There's actually everything to say.
But instead, I'll just put up links to my photography:
